Empowering Language Educators Everywhere
Recognizing that each person is different and that there is no one way to navigate a culture & society, Language Coaching engages educational entrepreneurs and students to create their own goals and push themselves to get to where they want to be.
As such, a Language Coach is in-tune with what makes each student unique and what they want to achieve in their language-learning journey.

Experiental learning
By practising communication directly with native speakers, students can build a network around themselves in which they can speak English every day. This is truly how language learning occurs and is how every human has learned his or her first language. Recognizing that each person is different and that there is no one way to navigate a culture & society, Language Coaching engages students to create their own goals and push themselves to get to where they want to be. Cultural Intelligence
Believing that a language is living and that the everyday person is the best example thereof, language coaching focuses on commonly-used sentences and phrases, including idioms and expressions, so that students can understand what people say as they seek to participate in society, navigate the culture, and connect with people who ultimately become their teacher.
The "coaching" approach
We certify language coaches who embody a commitment to accountability and foster autonomous learning among their students. Our approach shifts the focus from conventional teaching to empowering learners to take responsibility for their own language acquisition. Certified coaches guide learners through the language acquisition process, emphasizing practical methodology and leading by example. Understanding that adults and children learn differently, our program incorporates neuroscience principles to optimize adult language learning. Coaches are trained to use all senses to enhance language retention and application.
The road of entrepreneurship
We emphasize cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, helping you identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and maintain motivation. The course covers essential aspects of self-employment, including marketing yourself, establishing and growing your business, and hiring a competent team. Additionally, we focus on sustained motivation and self-improvement through goal-setting, time management, and resilience strategies. With access to tailored resources and tools, you will be well-prepared to transform your passion for language coaching into a thriving, self-sustaining business. Join us to become a skilled educator and a successful entrepreneur in the educational field.
While I was studying English in Vancouver, I met someone who had taken an On the Spot Language course in Toronto. So, I went to Toronto to study with OSL and I improved more, in only 2 months, than I did in 6 months in Vancouver. Now that I know the OSL method, I can continue to learn English on my own and have fun doing it

My English Coach corrected my pronunciation all the time and I learned real Canadian English and could understand what Canadians said. I got to learn so much about Canadian history and felt more connected to the people, the city, and the country
— Kazuma
I had so much fun learning and practicing English. I liked going to new places every day, learning how to order at restaurants and going shopping. I also made some lifelong friends in the program
— Haruka
OSL has brought my English to another level. By volunteering with OSL, I have learned many things about how to effectively learn and teach English. I have also learned marketing and people skills in the process. Now I have the confidence to achieve my dreams of getting into College. Thanks OSL!
